Brenda Poole

After serving our Lord as Custodian of our church since 1994, this school year Brenda took a job as secretary of Lockney Junior High School and resigned her position with us. The following is a letter that was written by her family in her honor.

It is with great regard that Brenda Poole is recognized for her 25 plus years of unwavering service to First Baptist Church of Lockney.

Regardless of the situation, controversy, or how difficult the task was; Brenda never let it affect her job performance or her love for FBC. Brenda went above and beyond her custodian duties the entire 25 years she was employed by FBC. She truly has a servant's heart. It wasn't a rare occurrence for her to be mowing the yard in the summer heat, on the floor repairing commodes, or shoveling snow off the sidewalks in the winter.

Brenda truly felt that serving FBC was a duty assigned to her from the Lord and she has fulfilled that duty without disappointment.

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”   Colossians 3:23-24

With honor,

The family of Brenda Poole

Even though Brenda has already been working for Lockney ISD as an aide for many years, they are quite blessed to have her in this new position.  We wish her the very very best in this new role.

We at FBC love Brenda so much!  She has faithfully done a wonderful job for us all of these 25+ years.  She is most certainly going to missed here in our building on an almost daily basis--doing all that she did!  Thank you, Brenda!

Ann Race

Ann Race is the long-time church pianist.  She has two grown sons, Carl and Randy, who have families of their own. She has a wonderful, God-given musical talent.  Everyone delights in listening to her music.  We thank God for Ann and what she adds to our worship services.
